Close proximity to the Texas A&M Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory allows for immediate examination of tissue specimens collected from OT Research cattle and BSL-2/ BSL-3 Lab space. 

Ot Feedyard and Research Center is in an ideal location for cattle procurement. Our close relationships with an extensive network of cattle buyers allows for procurement of whatever type of cattle your project needs.

  • 22,000 head capacity across the feedlot allows for uniform testing simulation as a prototype for a commercial feedlot.

  • 30-200 Head pens uniform in size, shape, and orientation available for research to provide sufficient replication and precision.

  • Covered processing barn and laboratory facility dedicated solely to research projects.

  • Individual Animal Identification system and record keeping.

  • Feed ally dedicated solely to experimental cattle to ensure uniformity.
